Dog Vaccination, Health, Licensing and Spay/Neuter Policies: Client is responsible to vaccinate and provide identification and license tags for their dog(s) and is required to disclose to MPCP all health and behavior problems which dog(s) may have prior to being taken in as a daycare, boarding or training client.
In addition, puppies and dogs participating in our boarding, daycare or Board & Train programs must be vaccinated and show proof of such vaccination for Bordetella (kennel cough) and maintain flea treatment during their stay. Clients initial a liability waiver contained in the MPCP Service Agreement, acknowledging that even inoculated puppies and dogs may still contract Bordetella (kennel cough) from other dogs while in the care of MPCP.
For puppies under the age of 4 months: Please email proof of a recent fecal test performed within the past two weeks showing negative results for parasites such as Giardia, coccidia, and worms. In addition, please provide proof of participation in the customary puppy vaccination program as recommended by your veterinarian.
Please email proof of vaccination (and result of negative fecal test for puppies under the age of 4 mos.) to info@marinpetcarepros.com ahead of your new client meeting.
Spay/Neuter Policy: MPCP does not take in dogs who are not spayed or neutered, with the exception of puppies up to the age of 7 months. We do allow intact females as long as they are not in their 3 week heat cycle.
Cancellation Policy: All services (boarding, daycare, and Board & Train) are pre-paid in advance to hold and guarantee your dog's spot with us. Thus, all cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours prior notice; one week prior for services scheduled during major holidays and peak periods such as local school holiday weeks and the time periods from June - August and from November - January.
Because a spot is held for your dog or puppy (in our daycare, boarding or Board & Train programs) and we are not able to book other clients, no refunds will be made; however, a credit may be given for future services. No refunds or credit will be given for any cancellations made with less than 48 hours prior notice; one week for services cancelled during major holidays, at which time (in the case of boarding) one-half of the pre-paid boarding fee will be credited back or refunded to the client.
BOARDING Pricing Policy: Our boarding rate is a per day rate, as the whole day is reserved for your dog or puppy. Clients drop off and pick up their dogs to/from MPCP for boarding. All services are paid in advance to hold your dog's boarding spot with us. Dogs 1 yr. and up: $90/day; Puppies up to 1 yr: $105/day.
Here are a few "rules of thumb" regarding pricing for boarding, depending on start and/or end time of the boarding day:
1) when boarding begins anytime in the morning, we charge the full-day rate of $90/dog or $105/puppy.
2) when boarding begins at 5pm in the evening or thereafter, we charge the half-day rate of $45/dog or $52.50/puppy rather than the full-day rate for that day. Note: You may arrange to drop your dog off as early as 4 PM and still pay the half-day rate.
3) when boarding ends by 12pm (but no later than 1pm) the next day, we charge the half-day rate of $45/dog or $52.50/puppy rather than the full-day rate for that day.
4) when boarding ends after 12pm (with a fudge factor up to 1pm), we charge the full-day rate of $90/dog or $105/puppy for that day.
DAYCARE Pricing Policy: Our daycare rate is a per day rate with daycare coverage for your pup from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All services are paid in advance to hold your dog's daycare spot with us. Dogs 1 yr. and up: $75/day; Puppies up to 1 yr: $85/day. We do not offer half-day rates for daycare.
Weekend daycare (on Saturday and/or Sunday) is based on availability and is priced at the boarding rate per above. Daycare hours on Saturday and Sunday are 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. If daycare is requested on a holiday, it is billed at the holiday boarding rate. See Holiday Rates below.
Holiday Rates: Requested services falling on major public holidays incur an additional $10 fee per day/per dog. Daycare requested on a holiday is billed at the holiday boarding rate.
