As an alternative to kennels and vet office boarding facilities, Marin Pet Care Pros’ private home daycare, boarding and Board &Train programs offer a safe, dog-friendly, and supervised environment where dogs can be dogs--- and puppies can be puppies! All-day play with a natural rest period midday provides the stimulation, exercise, fun, and respite that our canine guests need to stay happy and balanced. We are licensed, bonded, insured and Pet First Aid/CPR certified for your peace of mind.
Each potential client schedules a time to visit us here in Novato, CA with their dog or puppy prior to beginning daycare or boarding services so as to get acquainted and to be sure that both they and their dog are comfortable with our play environment and “home away from home.” Puppies of all ages are especially welcome, as all adult dogs and puppies in our care are vaccinated prior to joining our daycare, boarding, and Board & Train programs. We have lots of room to accommodate their play and napping needs in a safe, loving, and fun environment. Some dogs and puppies stay with us as part of our Board & Train program to brush up on commands or to begin foundational training that will benefit them and their guardians for the lifetime of their relationship.
We have been serving Marin dog guardians and their pups for nearly two decades! Professionalism, experience, and loving care are our hallmarks. We love what we do and bring that spirit to the care of your dog or puppy, treating them as our own.

Basia Tolscik, M.A. [pronounced "Basha"] has been an animal lover all of her life, having grown up on a small farm in Lansdale, Pennsylvania where she engaged in horseback riding, dog and cat raising, and weed pulling. She moved out to California for her Masters studies and holds two degrees: one in Teaching and the other in Organization and Leadership.
She is a certified trainer of humans as well as a Certified Basic Obedience Trainer. Basia has been training dogs for over 20 years and is a member of the Association for Professional Dog Training International (APDT) and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). She also holds a certificate in Pet First Aid (including Pet CPR), renewing it every other year.* She is a past volunteer with the San Francisco SPCA, where she served as a dog walker and "cat socializer."
Having spent 19 years working for various organizations, she realized her dream of being able to spend time with dogs all day and getting paid for it by starting her own pet care company.
In 2026 it's been two decades since that time, and Basia has never looked back!
